On January 23 of this year, a meeting was held between the Institute for the Development of the National Qualifications System and representatives of the German international cooperation organization (GIZ). During the meeting, the priority and strategic directions aimed at improving the National Qualifications System in Uzbekistan were discussed, as well as cooperation issues within the framework of the TexVET II project. Mutual cooperation on the development, improvement, and implementation of vocational standards based on modern and international approaches was agreed upon within the project. In particular, the discussion focused on enhancing the qualifications of members of sectoral councils through cooperation with the TexVET II project, and strengthening their institutional role in the development of vocational standards and the qualification assessment process. This cooperation is considered an important strategic step towards developing human capital in Uzbekistan, ensuring economic sectors are staffed with qualified personnel, and sustainably developing the National Qualifications System in accordance with international standards.
