International Experience in Advancing the National Qualifications System: Seminar-Training with the Participation of a UNESCO Expert

A seminar-training is currently being held at the Institute for the Development of the National Qualifications System with the participation of UNESCO international expert Olav Aarna.

Scheduled to continue until February 13, the training is aimed at supporting ongoing reforms in the development of the National Qualifications System. Staff members of the Institute, as well as representatives of relevant sectoral councils, are actively participating in the event.

Within the framework of the seminar-training, participants are discussing effective mechanisms for introducing a regulated professions register based on Estonia’s experience and exploring ways to implement it in practice.

In particular, during today’s session, the expert delivered a presentation on the role of the National Qualifications System as an effective interface between the education sector and the labor market. The principles for establishing this mechanism, its institutional foundations, and future development trends were comprehensively analyzed.
