On February 12 of the current year, a meeting was held between the Institute for the Development of the National Qualifications System and representatives and experts of the Vet4Uz project of Helvetas. During the meeting, priority areas within the second phase of the project (2026–2029) were discussed. In particular, special attention was given to expanding private sector participation in the National Qualifications System and the Vocational Education and Training (VET) system. The parties discussed mechanisms for engaging employers in the development of professional standards, the updating of educational programs, and the qualification assessment process. It was also noted that in the new phase of the project, priority will be given to the development of a dual VET model for the Tourism and Hospitality sector (2026–2029). In this regard, issues related to strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and employers, increasing the share of practical training, and developing competencies aligned with labor market demands were considered.
